As much as I dislike rambling about studies, I just simply can't purge the thoughts of it out of my mind right now. I'm in such a mind-boggling dilemma over what to pursue in the university.
I've reached a crossroad & I know I'll inevitably have to choose - Business Administration in NUS or Communication Studies in NTU?!
One wrong move and my life MAY be changed forever. Some of you might not necessarily share my sentiment, but I am sure you'll at least agree that it would more or less decide your career path for the next 5-10 years of your life upon graduation. I really do not want to be haunted by a decision that I made at 18 when I embark on my journey into the working world.
In all frankness, I've always thought it would be a clear-cut decision. My stand has been COMMUNICATIONS from the get-go. However, when you are placed in the position where you have, what many people view, a better option to opt for, oh trust me, you would undoubtedly have second thoughts about your original plan in life.
My heart tells me to pursue Communication Studies, but my head tells me to choose Business. The former is where my passion definitely lies and where I would probably have a more fun and enriching experience throughout my university life. However, the latter would provide me with more attractive job prospects and more chances to meet -ahem- certain people. HAHA! Should passion be the ultimate factor in deciding my course of study? That's the question I have yet to find an answer for. And NUS, being a more prestigious university just makes my decision all the more difficult.
Drats, I hate making such hefty decisions. I know this is simply part and parcel of being a typical indecisive & analytical Libran that likes to over-think things. My indecisiveness is one trait I'm so determined to eradicate as time passes. HAHA! I love how studying the Sun signs and astrology can affect your life and allow you to understand yourself better.
Anyway, to anyone reading this, please help me! I'm in desperate need of some enlightenment with regards to this issue. Any advice for me? I'll have to make my decision before I leave for Europe on 18th May, which is next Friday!
Oh no...Well, at least you'll not hear me mention about anything remotely related to university applications once I return from Europe on 1st June (:
Europe, Europe, Europe, I can't wait! Less whiny-Shu-Ann times ahead for everyone. Hooray!
