I had a dream about death. Life can sometimes be so unpredicatable. You'll never know when is it going to be your last day on Earth. From now on, I should try to live everyday like it's the last day of my life.

Loving each day as if it's the last! HAHA!

It got me thinking about what songs I would want to be played during my funeral. I know I do not want it to be such a sad affair, but I do not want RnB or Indie Rock music being played during the occasion. So, I'm going to start creating my funeral songlist with many evergreen tracks. I'll probably update it now and then, when I feel like it.

Anyway, I was browsing through some car magazines yesterday and they got me really excited. I've made a promise to myself that I must try to own a Mini Cooper, Mitsubishi I, Volkswagon Touareg & Bentley Continental GTC at one point in my life. The Bentley, though, I know would be highly impossible. Nevertheless, I'll aim high. HAHA!

Lastly, I know this is random, but I would like to mention that I'm a believer of Karma. The more you give, the more you will receive. Just like the more bad deeds you commit, the more bad things will be pass unto you. So everyone, let's start giving and commit more good deeds. It would enrich our lives much more, don't you agree? :)

Anyway, I would like to announce that I've got the job at Brussels Sprouts :) The question now is whether I should start work before leaving for Europe on 18th May, or in June as planned. Decisions, decisions, decisions, I hate making decisions. When I do start work, please drop by and patronise the restaurant when you have a craving for delectable Belgian mussels or seafood in general. HAHA! Even if you don't, popping by to say HI would make my day. The address is as follows:

which brings me to my next point... 2 days until the end of work! I guess I will miss working at SGX Centre & some of my colleagues (maybe only Alvin & Rachel, not Rachel's diet though). I really enjoy working in the the Central Business District precinct. The whole ambience there is so appealing to me. As said in my VirtualDNA analysis below, I can "see beauty in the most inhospitable environments." That's so true indeed. I simply adore the the hustle & bustle of the city, the concrete jungle environment, the wide variety of food available and the mega huge Watsons stores! I would have contemplated on extending my contract if they had offered me a pay rise. But, they didn't. So, I had to politely reject the offer of extension.

Out of sheer boredom, I have decided to make my checklist not such a secret anymore. Since I'm too lazy to put a picture of my checklist, I shall list it out in words. So, here it goes...

Highlight of the week: I got to kick someone's butt, literally!

Actually, the poor guy didn't deserve it. Afterall, we did get our treats. Oh well... It must have hurt because I was on kitten heels. HAHA!

Oh, I got to meet some jolly people, thanks to qian :)

Conclusion: This week has been wonderful with all the good news rolling in and the company of my good ol' friends.

By the way, 5 days until the end of work!

One less day of work for me since I'll be attending the Mass Comms test & interview tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Oh, I just realised Brussels Sprouts is calling me down for an interview on Tuesday. So, I might actually be employed from June to August before the start of the university term. HOHO.

Today, I had a very candid chat with Rachel about relationships and it got me thinking.

What is love?

No, I'm not referring to the love you have for your closest friends or your kin. I'm talking about the love that exists between a couple.

I would very much like to believe that it evolves around unwavering committments, self-sacrifice and utmost trust.

But, if you ask me that question right now, I would say love is... a transient feeling.

Don't you agree?

There are just so many manifestations in life to support that sentiment.

Maybe, I have just yet to experience what couples term as "true love".

Oops, this is cynical me at it again. I should just shut up.

OMG OMG OMG!!! I got shortlisted for Mass Communications at NTU :D :D :D It's just so surreal, considering that yours truly scored a low B & low C grade for General Paper & Chinese respectively! I didn't get triple As either, mind you. Now, I have got to prep an impressive portfolio for my interview on Monday. I don't want this interview to be as disastrous as my shit SMU Accountancy interview. HEH! I also better go get some reading done for the Writing Test.

Shu Ann is in an exceptionally good mood now! My dear friends will be getting treats from me soon :)

"broken heart, broken dream"

It was Friday, the 13th yesterday. Goodbye, I guess it was never meant to be.

Anyway, I must say yesterday's bus rides to & from the office were rather interesting. How often do I have bus tales to tell? Heh. So, on my way to work, I was sitting across this woman who was reading this book entitled "How to talk so teens will listen & listen so teens will talk". I tell you that Mommy was one emotionally charged person. While she was reading that book, I could see that she was almost on the verge of tears. It's a pity that she has to resort to a book to help her handle her relationship with her kid. Are teens nowadays really such a handful?!

Oh well, after that, nearing my workplace, I saw a cat that was ran over by some vehicle on the road. It was an utterly gross sight due to all the spewing out of the guts etc... You get the picture. As much as I dislike cats, I don't think it deserves such a terrible death. It was just saddening.

On my way back, the bus ride was just a sheer torture. I was innocently trying to get a little shut-eye before my tuition lesson. Then, a mom with her 2 kids boarded the bus. That's when all the hubbub started. The brats sat 2 rows in front of me and started age-counting "1 years old...2 years old...3 years old...". The worst thing was that these brats were such amateurs at their numerics that they repeated "24 years old" three times, "31 years old" twice and many others a few times! WTH... Seriously, it's amazing how their mom managed to fall asleep with all that noise. Anyway, the counting briefly stopped when they reached "50 years old", and I was thinking "Thank God!" But lo & behold, one of the brats started wailinggg! Apparently, the counting stopped because that brat fell on the bus floor and scratch his hand against the floor or something. So, the wailing continued until i reached my destination, although I did spent the rest of the bus journey hoping that the counting would just start again. Oh please remind me why I dislike kids so much? HAH...

I'm getting a little worried about whether I can hold onto my P4 English tuition job. The kid is still writing lines like "After jogged I went home", "Suddenly, I saw a robbery was stealing Boon Shiong jewerlly" and "Then Boon Shiong was very happy that she had a so good neighbour and I also very happy because I also done a good deed" for his composition! I'm dead serious about this. The aforementioned lines are word-for-word from his composition. It's not my bad English, mind you. His English exams begin at the end of April! I MUST really start working some miracles. I have this sinking feeling that if his results do not improve, my job would be on the line :( Well, I offered him the option to tutor him in Mathematics. I really hope that will help me hold onto the job a little longer.

It seems like my attempt to update this blog on a more frequent basis is getting along pretty fine.

Anyway, I swear I saw THE cutest guy at my workplace today! He's a Chinese-Indian mix for sure. His gorgeous chiselled features & killer smile are to-die-for. Oh my gosh! But the ring on his left hand said it all. He's so untouchable. What the heck is wrong with me? HAH... He's probably too old for me anyway.

On another note, qianli's leaving for US tomorrow! See you in a week's time girl. Remember, we have a zouk date okay! This time, please hold onto your camera! HAHA.

13 days until the end of work! No more office jobs for me until I officially enter the working world. I'll be a free bird! But that would mean my only source of income from then on would be from tutoring kids. Boo.

For the sake of those who still do not know, I'm providing English & Mathematics tuition for Upper Primary and Secondary School students. I'm VERY reliable & patient :) So, anyone with any tuition jobs to offer me, please feel free to contact me. Thanks!

So, I'm back with a new address after a two year hiatus! Hooray for me :)

I'm not really loving this new template though. It's so much uglier than what I had in mind. I'll work on it when I have more time i guess.

In a nutshell, life's been pretty much a bore due to mundane office work and one exasperating tuition kid. But, I've definitely had some fun times with some great company! You know who you all are.

Anyway, friday/saturday was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Nevertheless, I had a great time. Thanks qian & eve for the company & for holding onto me on the dancefloor :) see, i knew what was going on okay.

By the way, evil-lyn commented that I have a HK ah lian's haircut! Boo...
